The CPT BlogOne more week
Developments - A constant!Just because we are adding a new rig to our stable doesn't mean we are neglecting other developments to improve our services. Here are a few of the new developments we have completed this year to date (I will expand on some of these in future posts): read more...
News from the NetherlandsI just returned from the factory in the Netherlands and the news was excellent.
Today (and tomorrow) off to SchipolSo this is either my 6th or 7th trip to Heerenveen. You would think I would be prepared this time. Nope. I am always cramming last minute arrangements through. I'm sure there have been developments from the picture above, and I'm very excited to see them! BTW, that is not me waving....
Tomorrow, HollandTomorrow I fly to Heerenveen in the Netherlands to give input on the construction of our new track-mounted CPT rig. We are very excited by this new addition to our fleet and the flexibility it will give us on site access in soft soils. In addition, it will give us redundancy should our current truck-mounted rig go down. This new rig will also feature the high productivity equipment from A.P. Van den Berg as our current rig. The CPT equipment will be mounted on a 2008 model year Morooka 1500VSD rubber-track rig. These are originally made as off-road dumpers, but the dump bed has been removed and the hydraulic pumps have been modified/replaced to use for this application. The following picture shows the rig in construction in the Van den Berg shop.
DebutWelcome to the new MNGS blog where I plan to provide updates, news, points of interest and just general thoughts on our business. Right now the most interesting news is that we are expanding our business by adding a new track-mounted CPT rig. The equipment is currently in build at the A.P. Van den Berg factory in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. I'll be updating progress on that in coming days and weeks.
